LARK PATRONS DIGEST MUSIC AS ITS OWN ART FORM.
Lap up esteemed performers playing for your aural consumption in our uniquely respectful venue. Sway and sip away in the easy decadence of our elegant environs, rich with all the panache of a re-imagined speakeasy. 1920s and 30s glamour steeped in contemporary comfort and class, our sassy space is for you to kick back while your senses delve into realms of opulence. A sanctuary for musicians, poets and performers of all modes, we invite you to join us here at the lavish Skylark Room for an intimate listening and dining experience.
The magic and medicine of music is the heartland of the ‘Lark. Punters revel in our eclectic range of artists, who yearn for a chance to perform on our hallowed stage. 100% of the door proceeds go directly to performers, such is our reverence for artmakers. The Skylark Room engages a vast variety of musicians, from trad jazz ensembles, through to blues and folk outfits. Poetry evenings and special performances also find their home amidst the iconic bird cages.
We serve up one of yesteryear’s favourite traditions, dinner and a show, the classic double digestion. Your nourishing feast prepared by fine food artists languidly drifts into an evening of musically induced wonderment; Song and sustenance for the soul.
With keen appreciation of the necessity for tomfoolery, we encourage patrons to observe a space of quiet enjoyment when performers are playing on stage.
A No Schmobos* policy is strictly enforced. As our shows sell out to enthusiastic musical and gastronomical explorers rather rapidly, secure your booking today.
*Schmobos: disrespectful cad, nonsense maker desirous of causing needless harm, dolt who conjures raucous disturbance.
All our night photography is courtesy of the photographic genius Darren Clarke (of Darren Clarke Photography), who tirelessly captures the spectacular performances that grace The Skylark Room Stage.
